The Mendota Mental Health Institute Heating Plant is undergoing renovations that include the removal of a 150-foot brick chimney. Balestrieri was selected to design and install a custom dust containment system, creating a clean and controlled work environment throughout the project. The containment not only protects surrounding areas from dust and debris but also allows normal operations to continue outside the work zone, minimizing disruptions to plant activities.

A key challenge was working around extensive piping and mechanical equipment, which required a unique containment design to ensure complete coverage. Our team successfully navigated these obstacles by utilizing specialized lifts and equipment to safely access difficult-to-reach areas and construct a fully enclosed containment system.
