Balestrieri’s dedication to safety cannot be matched. We are consistently seeking out new opportunities to learn and grow together as a team.

– Vice President Cindy Balestrieri

At Balestrieri, protection of human health and the environment is our number one priority. Our commitment to the worker safety, the safety of employees of others on the job site, and the general public goes far beyond what is expected. We are consistently raising the bar for safety standards.

Meet The Team

We’ve created a committee that meets monthly to discuss relevant topics concerning various aspects of our industry and to formulate the most effective safety practices and procedures. The topics of discussion are determined at an annual meeting with our Risk Control Professional to review the most relevant aspects of industry trends, company performance, and insurance requirements. The committee has proven a valuable addition to our continually growing safety program.

Field Safety Manager Steve Jandrowski

I oversee our safety program and am responsible for on-site project safety audits and employee in-house training. I was the first non-OSHA member in the State of Wisconsin to become certified in OSHA Asbestos Awareness trainings. I am OSHA certified in the OSHA 500 60-Hour Trainer Course for Construction and I’m a member of the Milwaukee Construction Industry Safety Council’s (MCISC) Construction Safety Leadership Forum. The group is made up of lead individuals responsible for their companies’ construction safety programs. The forum has been a phenomenal resource for me and my team as it provides a professional outlet for the exchange of ideas and provides education and materials for those responsible for developing and administering safety programs in construction.

Project Manager Michael Ruenz

With prior experience as a Field Manager for Balestrieri, I expand our safety culture with my insight on actively practicing and enforcing safety in the field. I have Safety Council Training credentials for First Aid, CPR, and AED Trainer. I’m in charge of annual field safety training for all of our field and management staff. I have also been accredited with OSHA’s 510 Safety in Construction and 500 course earning training certificates as an OSHA Train the Trainer. I have been trained in the OSHA 10-Hour classes in the general construction industry.

Safety Ellie

My top priority is the health and safety of my two-legged companions. I grew up in the industry and am becoming an expert on the do’s and don’ts of job site safety. I share my wisdom through Balestrieri’s blog!

Job Related Safety & Health Hazards

Because worker safety and protection means everything to us, all of our employees are trained and required to follow company safety policies, procedures, and practices designed to protect them from, and help them proactively recognize, job-related safety and health hazards. Our safety and training program includes provisions for the systematic identification, evaluation, prevention, and control of general workplace hazards, specific job hazards, and potential hazards that may arise from unforeseen circumstances. Our employees have the proper training, PPE equipment, physical prowess, and proactive mindsets to deal calmly and professionally in every situation.

Worker Safety & Protection

Our entire field staff participates in a comprehensive medical surveillance plan to ensure they are healthy and physically fit enough to meet the demanding needs of their day-to-day jobs.
