Balestrieri performed lead removal on a bean dumper system at Del Monte Foods’ processing facility in Plover, Wisconsin. This plant is a major vegetable canning operation, processing products such as green beans, carrots, potatoes, and beets for distribution.
The project focused on preparing surfaces for a painting contractor immediately following our work, covering:
• 2,000 sq. ft. of interior walls
• 125 linear ft. of railings
The project involved working in confined space conditions within the bean dumper, implementing full containment around active equipment, performing intricate and precision-focused railing work, and meeting a tight schedule driven by peak farming and production demands.
Balestrieri safely removed loose, peeling, flaking, and chipping lead-based coatings while maintaining full containment and compliance. Our team worked efficiently to meet the compressed timeline and ensure the painting contractor could begin immediately.
