CNH Lakeside Testing Facility was specifically designed to test and refine heavy equipment machinery such as farm tractors, autonomous vehicles, electrified powertrains, and alternative fuel equipment.
Balestrieri assisted in the transformation of this site with selective demolition, asbestos abatement, industrial coating impacted with lead, and universal waste removals. Some of the areas of work now house highly specialized, soundproof engine testing labs. Was recognized as a top industrial renovation project, winning Milwaukee Business Journal Real Estate Award.
This project presented several unique challenges, including an aggressive construction schedule, the need to remove lead-impacted coatings without damaging adjacent building materials, and containment requirements in areas that were partially exposed to the elements. Drawing on extensive experience with complex industrial renovations, the Balestrieri project management and field teams adapted their work methods to meet the demanding timeline while safely addressing environmental concerns. Through careful planning, specialized removal techniques, and close coordination with project stakeholders, the team successfully overcame site-specific obstacles and helped prepare the facility for its next generation of advanced testing operations.
