We offer a wide range of comprehensive trainings for new employees or continued education.

We offer a wide range of comprehensive trainings for new employees or continued education. Whether for a company-wide refresher or a single employee, our certified trainers welcome the opportunity to increase awareness and provide valuable information on hazardous materials.

Our OSHA-certified trainings include:

2-Hour Asbestos Awareness

Balestrieri is often called upon to provide 2-Hour Asbestos Awareness Training for our clients.  Our clients provide this training to assist their maintenance and facilities staff in recognizing asbestos and the proper handling techniques to meet the OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1926 and 1910.  However, the most important reason for this training is to ensure work site safety for you, the building occupants.

2-Hour Lead in Construction Awareness

Individuals taking this course receive an overview on the hazards associated with lead, precautions to take when in the presence of lead, and when to seek professional abatement services.

2-Hour Mold Awareness

This course provides a synopsis on where mold is likely to form, proper procedures to follow when exposed to mold, and when an expert needs to be contacted.

16-Hour Asbestos Operations and Maintenance

A much more in-depth training than the 2-Hour Asbestos Awareness Training, the 16-Hour Asbestos O&M training is important for the following groups of employees:

  • Plant/Facility managers, maintenance and custodial staff
  • Outside housekeeping services
  • Trade Contractors (construction crews, electricians, plumbers, HVAC and utility/communication workers)

This training qualifies you for work that falls under OSHA Class IV, Class III and Class II asbestos operations with supervision of an asbestos trained and certified Supervisor or competent worker.

This training not only protects those who work directly with asbestos, but also workers who may come in contact with the material while performing their job duties.

4-Hour Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Refresher

To maintain certification, this course is offered as a review of the 16-Hour course.
