Project Summary
Drury Hotels started in 1973 in Missouri, and now the family has built, owns, and operates more than 150 hotels in 25 states, including Wisconsin. J.D. Power has now recognized Drury as “Highest in Guest Satisfaction among Upper Midscale Hotel Chains.” Drury Hotels also were recognized as one of America’s Best Employers for Diversity 2019.
As a community grows, so does the hospitality and visitors. Located in the heart of downtown, the Drury Plaza Hotel Milwaukee Downtown is a historic renovation of the 15-story First Financial Centre. It is close to the Milwaukee Riverwalk, Milwaukee Art Museum, Marquette University and more.
Project Manager Nate and Field Manager Nazim, both worked on the remodel of the 1st floor and the basement, which is now a pool for the hotel. Balestrieri demoed the stair tower and reconfigured the stairs to meet code for the hotel. The basement was the initial challenge for the renovation, both the ingress and egress were our biggest challenges since there were no more stairs and we had to level out the floors for a top of the line pool to be installed.
The hotel is coming soon and will be open around Summer 2019!
