Project Summary
In French, the word “charmant” means “charming”. In the La Crosse area, charmant was associated with a premium line of chocolates once sold by Funke Candy Company. When new owners purchased the former Funke building, they decided “The Charmant” would be the perfect name for their new boutique hotel – the first of its kind.
The new owners wanted to bring out as much of the building’s character as they could. Using proprietary media cleaning methods, Balestrieri was able to restore the gorgeous maple and exposed brick found throughout the hotel to help showcase the boutique’s charming aesthetic.
