Project Summary

From acts such as Boz Scaggs, Chicago, and Frank Sinatra to Jimmy Buffest, The Grateful Dead, and The Who, it’s no wonder the Alpine Valley Music Theatre climbed its way to #6 on the Rolling Stone magazine’s list of Best Amphitheaters in America. this 37,000 capacity venue opened in 1977 as the midway point between the larger cities in the area, making it the perfect place for citizens of Madison, Milwaukee, Rockford, and Chicago to gather and watch their favorite bands. Because some on these favorites, like Kiss and Metallica, are known for their pyrotechnics, the facility needed a solid, flame retardant wall backstage. Balestrieri was contracted to replace the original transite panels with newer, environmentally safe materials.

The most crucial aspect of this project was timeliness. It was absolutely imperative we end our operations before summer so that the facility could make the most out of the concert season.

Balestrieri stuck to a very specific timeline and coordinated closely with the owners to ensure we completed the walls before the deadline.
