Expanding Safety Programs

Balestrieri is committed to the safety of our employees, the employees of others on the job site, and the general public. We are continually seeking new resources and implementing new programs to ensure no stone is left unturned when it comes to providing the highest degree of safety to our clients. With that in mind, we have recently established a new Balestrieri Safety Team.
Field Safety Manager, Steve Jandrowski, on expanding safety programs

Field Safety Manager Steve Jandrowski, Project Manager Michael Ruenz, and Project Coordinator II Breanna Brunner make up the foundation of the Safety Team with the full support of Executive Management.

The team’s goal is to proactively stay one step ahead of potential safety risks. Communication plays a large role in maintaining safety. The team checks in with each other daily to make sure each department is up-to-date on the current safety measures required for every job.

Due to the wide variety of services we provide, it is imperative our team reassesses our safety procedures with every stage of a project. Safety Team members bring up various safety topics at our monthly leadership trainings as well as coordinating weekly tool box talks with relevant safety tips to keep our field employees informed.

“My favorite part about being a member of the Safety Team is the knowledgeable and well-versed people who represent our company in the most important facet of our line of work. We all work so well together and help ideas flow. More perspectives provide more opportunities for success,” comments team member Breanna Brunner.

Field Safety Manager Steve Jandrowski concurs, “Since the formation of the Safety Team, we have seen improved communication and increased rapport between the office and the field. The more dialogue that occurs, the more comfortable our employees feel in the work place and the more value they see in implementing additional safety procedures.”
