Mr. Ruenz has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and has recently been promoted to Project Manager here at Balestrieri. Previously serving as a Field Manager, Mike is licensed as an Asbestos Supervisor and Inspector in Wisconsin, an Asbestos Professional in Illinois, and an Asbestos Supervisor in Michigan.
In addition to his extensive training portfolio, Mike has recently earned his FAA drone certifications for Commercial sUAV (small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and Airman. He is also focused on building and maintaining strong personal relationships, and plans to obtain his license for teaching in safety and construction/environmental operations.
As a professional, Mike would like to obtain further accreditations in environmental health and safety, lead seminars and informational sessions, and help to enhance operations and maintenance programs for clients.
You will also see Mike at many of our annual trade shows that we participate in every year. “I am looking forward to supporting our marketing staff and communicating all the great services our company offers to a varied client base,” Mike says. “Getting out, meeting and talking with our clients, vendors and subcontractors always pays great dividends for everyone.”
Mike plans to continue building on his knowledge of computer functions and learn internal procedures in more depth, in order to manage projects with superior efficiency and professionalism.
Mike has advice for those in the construction field, "New opportunities often present themselves through business trends and flow. Keep your eyes open, and be the best influence you can be on your company."
Aside from work, Mike enjoys traveling and serving through mission efforts, as well as singing with his church. He also is an avid yard-scaper and horticulture enthusiast.
